"The Bible has been handed down to us similar to the game of “telephone.”" (Claim #E557)
Response
On the contrary, we have over 25,000 manuscripts of the New Testament in various languages, including over 5,500 extant Greek manuscripts. The only other historical document that comes anywhere close is Homer’s Iliad, which has 643 manuscripts. 1 Based on historical evidence alone, the Bible is the most accurate ancient book we have, certainly not the result of something like the child’s game of telephone.
