"Is perfume wrong?" (Alleged Contradiction #E4997)
Many verses in the Bible seem to indicate that perfume is acceptable: Proverbs 27:9; Esther 2:8-12; Song of Solomon 3:6; 4:10; 5:5; John 12:3. However, other verses seem to link perfume with immorality: Exodus 30:37; Proverbs 7:17; Isaiah 3:16-24; Isaiah 57:9.
Response
No, perfume is not wrong. However, it can certainly be used for wrong purposes, as the Bible warns.
