"Does Jesus judge people?" (Alleged Contradiction #E6465)
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
John 8:15
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
John 12:47
However, other verses tell us that Jesus judges all men: John 5:22, John 5:26-27, John 9:39, II Corinthians 5:10, and Revelation 19:11.
Response
Jesus judges no man “after the flesh” (John 8:15), and His purpose in coming the first time was not to judge but to save (“the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day“, John 12:47). However, one day Jesus Christ will return the second time to judge the world.
