I Samuel 15:2-3: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. God is merciful to everyone. 1 2 However, God will ultimately destroy those who hate him and have despised His mercy, 3 4 but even in these cases, God was merciful to them during their lifetime in giving them opportunity to repent.
