"Should the gospel be preached to everyone?" (Alleged Contradiction #E8321)
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:5-6
Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia …
Acts 16:6
See also: Matthew 15:24. However, the Bible says elsewhere that the gospel should be preached to everyone: Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 8:25; Acts 15:3; Acts 22:21; Acts 28:28; Galatians 2:2.
Response
Yes, God wants the gospel preached to everyone. However, this does not mean that every Christian is responsible individually to bring the gospel to everyone. Individually, we need to ask God where we can best spend our time personally sharing the gospel; since we do not have enough time in our life to present the gospel to everyone in the world, we need to ask God where we should serve Him.
