"Is every word of God pure?" (Alleged Contradiction #E9761)
The Bible states that every word of God is pure (Psalm 12:6; 119:140; Proverbs 30:5). However, the Bible also records people’s vile deeds.
Response
Just because the Bible records vile actions of people does not mean that God’s Word is impure. On the contrary, the Bible is a perfectly accurate account of history. God hates sin, but He is not afraid to confront and punish it. The fact that the Bible accurately records and rebukes man’s vile deeds no more makes it impure than exposing and punishing sinful behavior makes a court of law impure.
