Evolutionists believe that human history has existed for only 8,000 years, 1 and that man (homo sapiens) have been around for almost 200,000 years. 2 8,000 years is just a fraction of a second in the evolutionary timeline. Why did humans wait 187,000 years to begin recording their own history? This does not really make sense. A much more reasonable explanation is that God created man with an incredible intellectual capacity from the beginning, about 6,000 years ago.
Debate
Evolutionist: Recorded human history is linked with agriculture. When the era of agriculture started, it brought with it the creation of cities, personal property, and other changes. This led to the recording of human history via land titles, etc.
Response: The late rise of agriculture is also curious for evolution to explain.
Evolutionist: Humans have rapidly evolved in recent times, explaining the quick rise of things like agriculture and writing.
Response: Humans today have an incredible capacity for writing, abstract thought, poetry, and mathematics. Does it really make sense that this evolved primarily in the last ten thousand years or so (about 500 generations)? This includes far too much genetic code to evolve in so few generations. A much better explanation is that God created man with incredible mental capacity from the beginning.
