Evolutionists often claim that similarities between animals shows their common ancestry. However, this thinking does not work because some things are very similar in animals that are only distantly related according to evolution. For instance, human lysozyme is more similar to a chicken’s than to any other mammal, though humans are classified as mammals and not birds. 1
