"Did Jesus have secret teachings?" (Alleged Contradiction #E7153)
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
John 18:20
Matthew 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Matthew 13:10-11

Response
Jesus was very open about rebuking the Pharisees, the fact that He was the Son of God, and His other teachings which the Pharisees rejected. This was His point in John 18:20.
However, just because Jesus was very open in these doctrines does not mean that He said everything to the general public. This would be unwise, and so He spoke to them in parables. Those who were truly interested in learning more could always come to Him and speak with Him. However, everyone knew where Jesus stood, and this is Jesus’ point in John 18.
