"Was Moses healthy at age 120?" (Alleged Contradiction #E5325)
And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel. And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
Deuteronomy 31:1-2
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Deuteronomy 34:7
Response
Moses was in full strength when he died. Obviously, Moses was not saying that he could not walk: the Bible says “Moses went and spake” (Deuteronomy 31:1). He is saying that it is impractical for him to continue with his duties, since he is getting very old and God told him that he would not make it to the promised land. It is time for him to appoint the next leader, Joshua.
