"Did Jeconiah have any sons?" (Alleged Contradiction #E3510)
Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man [Coniah] childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

I Chronicles 3:17
And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel …
Matthew 1:11-12
Response
Yes, Jeconiah had sons. Jeremiah 22:28-30 never said that he didn’t—it said, “Write ye this man childness.” It goes on to say “no man of his seed shall prosper …” Why would it say this if Jeconiah would have no seed to prosper in the first place? Jeremiah is saying that it is as if Jeconiah was childless because of the curse placed upon him.
