"Should our good deeds be private or public?" (Claim #E4022)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:3
Response
A consistent Christian life should have both public and private deeds. Many should be private, especially to prevent self-glory, like giving gifts to help the poor. However, others will be public by nature, like witnessing for Christ, living morally pure, and obeying authority.
